Skype has introduced it’s closing from Could.

The web chat and cellphone service, which is owned by Microsoft, made the announcement on X.

It mentioned: “Beginning in Could 2025, Skype will now not be out there.

“Over the approaching days you may sign up to Microsoft Groups Free along with your Skype account to remain linked with all of your chats and contacts.

“Thanks for being a part of Skype.”

Microsoft made no instant remark when contacted by REPORTAHOLICS Information.

Skype was launched in 2003 and was then purchased by Microsoft in 2011 for $8.5bn (£6.1bn).

The video calling service was as soon as one of the crucial fashionable web sites on this planet, as companies and people embraced video calls.
